The SektorOne Gator System is a modeling engine for Rapid Application Development (RAD), providing Data Access functionality and enhanced Enterprise services.
Gator provides application developers with Data Access routines through interfaces that interact with a variety of Data Providers.
- DBMS such as Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle.
- Active Directory / LDAP.
- File System, local, shares, and remote (FTP) locations.
- Web Service interconnections.
Out of the box, Gator includes full ASP.Net membership security support, application, module, class and row level security functions, record versioning and auditing, and several other constructs that would typically be time consuming and costly to implement manually.
In addition to data interface functionality, Gator utilizes these components to implement contextual searching capabilities across all user defined applications. Gator is the primary user interface built on the Plexus Engine -- an adaptive network of services that utilize thin communications to discover, process, and manage instructions and data.
